"There will be no development if there's no justice for all". This basically is the thought of Sueli Pereira Pini, a judge working in the brazilian state of Amapa', located in the northern part of the country by the mouth of the Amazon river. She took advantage of a law dated 1995 that is aiming to simplify and settle legal disputes happening in places that are hard to reach, starting from 1996 this very energetic lady created a "Court-On-A-Boat" so that justice and development could be brought in the Bailique archipelago, placed in a very secluded and far from everything area long the northern canal of the mouth of the great river.
At first, it was a very small boat and only a few people could be transported, but now the boat is much bigger, with two bridges and carrying around fifty people, attorneys, judges, registry office and electoral list employees, psychologists, doctors, nurses and so on. It's no more about just legal disputes, i.d. and electoral cards need to be done, medicines need to be provided, sick people need to be looked after where there's not a doctor available, conferences need to be organized inside the school.
A monstruous colelctive work that lasts a whole week in the spirit of bringing law and justice to the people.
