On April 6, 1992, the 'siege of Sarajev began with the murder of Olga Sucic and Suada Dilberović during a peace rally. The city symbol of multiculturalism, of an encounter between East and West, was surrounded and under siege for over three years. It was the longest siege in modern history, which caused a hundred thousand dead soldiers and civilians. After a quarter of a century, the city was reborn, much has been built and rebuilt, but the wounds of war are still visible, the stronger are invisible, the siege has changed forever the relationship between the city's ethnic groups that now ignore each them in peace. That period of history seems to be dust that is coming out from under the carpet.
